OUR MISSION
Entertainment Labor for Palestine (EL4P) unites North American entertainment industry workers in solidarity with the struggle for Palestinian liberation. In the wake of apartheid Israel's ongoing genocide against the Palestinians in Gaza and the violent oppression of marginalized and Indigenous peoples worldwide, EL4P offers entertainment workers a liberation-focused organizing home. Through strategic campaigns, political education and community building, we elevate Palestinian voices and work toward ending our industry's complicity in Israel's crimes and McCarthyist repression of pro-Palestine entertainment workers. We align with the Palestinian-led cultural boycott of Israel and support the Film Worker Pledge to withhold our labor from projects and companies profiting from, supporting or artwashing Israel's genocide and apartheid.For decades, the Western entertainment industry—and Hollywood in particular—has given cover for the brutal occupation of Palestine the apartheid regime of Israel through coordinated propaganda efforts, artwashing, and direct political and financial complicity. And as industry gatekeepers double down on their support—even in the face of genocide—the McCarthyist blacklisting and suppression of pro-Palestine voices in our fields continues.But the tide is turning. We’re seeing monumental shifts in public opinion, greater visibility of Palestinians and their stories, a surge of celebrity endorsements and increasing exposure of pro-Israel and Zionist bias, and we’re building on this momentum.
